Our products have international certifications
- The quality of the raw material processed in our plant is guaranteed by the Program for Sanitation of Bivalve Mollusks (PSMB), which aim is to certify the origin of the raw material, through Classification of Extraction Areas, Monitoring of Classified Areas, Standard for Collection and Transport, Contingency Plan for Marine Biotoxins (VMP, VDM or VAM) and Other Emergencies.
- Our Processing Plant meets the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) according to the provisions of the National Shellfish Sanitation Program, “Guide for the Control of Molluscan Shellfish” and the regulations of the European Union. For this, the Plant has voluntarily embraced the Quality Assurance Program (QAP), which is approved and supervised by the National Fisheries Service (Sernapesca). The QAP is based on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) for each type of product processed in the plant. This HACCP Plan ensures food safety, by preventing any risk of product contamination at a physical, chemical and biological level throughout the entire production process.
- The Plant is also subject to the End Product Control Program that aims to monitor that rules for the products are met: Fresh Refrigerated, Refrigerated Processed, Frozen, Canned (Microbiological Determinations, Package Assessment, Sensory Examination, Histamine, Mercury, Lead, Double Sealing Evaluation, Vacuum Packing). Worrying about meeting the standards of Additives Allowed by the European Union and the Health Certification Requirements per country.
