Our Company

    Granja Marina Chauquear began operations in 1992 with the salmon and trout farming for the Japanese market and mussel farming to supply the national industry of frozen and canned products. Currently, it is among the main producers of mussels in Chile and has Spat Collection Centers and Growing Centers mainly located in the Commune of Calbuco, Los Lagos Region, which are operated through planting and harvesting systems with the latest technology and are subject to strict control of environmental monitoring (PSMB, Program for Sanitation of Bivalve Mollusks or Water Certification Program).

    Granja Marina Chauquear has its own processing plant that operates under the commercial name Pesquera Pacific Farmer Ltda., which is constantly incorporating leading-technology machinery in order to deliver, process and produce canned and frozen products of the best quality, with the health permits required to worldwide exportation. Export products are manufactured with the same quality that canned products, which are marketed under the brands: Caleta la Vega and Balzac.
